Oak Park Country Club, named “The course of the winding stream”, was designed by architect Donald J. Ross in 1914 and renovated in 2007, by architect Rick Jacobson.

About

In 1962, Harry E. Radix started the match play event to promote competition between professionals and amateurs in the state of Illinois. This friendly competition at Oak Park CC between the CDGA and the Illinois PGA honor his name on the event.

Four-Ball Nassau Matches.

This is a one-day event. Six two-player teams of amateurs compete at match play against six two-player teams of professionals, each match on a three-point Nassau basis.

Teams comprised of the Illinois PGA’s top 11 professionals and the host golf professional playing as two-man teams against the top 11 amateur amateurs and the current host club champion. The better ball of each two-man team will count and the low ball of the foursome will win the hole. The pair which wins the most holes on each nine will win one point and the pair which wins the most holes for the eighteen will win one point. If a point is tied each team wins one-half point. With a total of 18 points contested for, the team that accumulates more than 9 points wins the Radix Cup.
The top 11 players from the 2015 Bernardi Player of the Year points list are eligible for the team.

If a player from the top 11 on the list is unavailable to play, the spot will move to the next available player from the 2015 Bernardi Player of the Year points list.
