ELIGIBILITY: PGA Members age 50 or over in the Illinois PGA by July 16, 2007.
FORMAT: 36 Holes of Stroke Play over two days of competition for the Illinois Section Senior Championship. In case of a tie for the championship, there will be a three (3) hole total stroke playoff following the posting of the final scores. If the tie has not been broken after three holes, the playoff shall continue at sudden death. Playoff holes to be determined by the Tournament Committee. In case of a tie for qualifying position(s) there will be a sudden death playoff following posting of the final scores.
ENTRY FEE: $310.00 for all players. ($140.00 PPNC Registration) ($170.00 IPGA Senior Championship Registration) Once you sign-up with PGA of America before the deadline below, you will then be entered into both the IPGA Senior Championship as well as the IPGA Senior PPNC. Registration with the PGA of America opens May 23.
NATIONAL ENTRY DEADLINE: Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 4:00 PM CDT. Please contact PGA of America at (800) 474-2776 to sign-up for the event.
SECTION ENTRY DEADLINE: Once the list of entries is available from PGA of America, the IPGA will confirm with all players of their status on Friday, July 13, 2007.
REGISTRATION ENTRY FEE BACK GUARANTEED: All players signing up, will be guaranteed back $140.00 in prize money for their PPNC entry fee. Players MUST post a 36-hole score to receive any prize money.
FIELD SIZE: Field size will be limited to the first 60 players.
STARTING TIMES & GROUPINGS: Will be available on Friday, July 13, 2007 by checking www.ipga.com, or by calling Pine Meadow CC. Pairings will also be emailed to all players once they are finalized.
PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice rounds will be available. Please contact Dennis Johnsen or Earl Puckett (847) 566-4653. Monday – Friday & Weekend afternoons. A cart fee of $16.00 will be charged.
FOOD & BEVERAGE: There will be a complimentary breakfast on Monday July, 16th. The halfway house will be open on Tuesday July, 17th for the players. Cash only please.
