EVENT: 36-hole stroke play competition. Field is limited to 144 players. The low thirty (30) players and ties will advance to the 2nd round. One boy and one girl will participate in the National Championship at Westfield Group Country Club July 11-14, 2007. The winner of this event will come from the lowest scratch 36 hole score. The winner of the 2007 Westfield Boys Championship from the lowest scratch (gross) 36-hole score will also get an exemption into the 2007 Illinois Open. This will be held at The Glen Club July 30-August 1.
ELIGIBILITY: The Championship is open to boys who are 18 and under through the final round of the National Championship on July 14, 2007.
ENTRIES CLOSE: Friday June 1, 2007 at 11:59 p.m. Payment must be made to confirm entry.
FIELD SIZE: The field size is limited to the first 144 entries received.
TEE SCHEDULE: One tee start of the first (1st) tee. Tee times will start at 7:00 AM.
CARTS AND CADDIES: Contestants are not allowed to use caddies at any level of competition.
PRACTICE ROUNDS: Please call the Oak Brook Golf Course Professional shop for practice rounds time, availability, and rates.
DRIVING RANGE: Available. Driving Range tokens can be purchased at the pro shop.
LOCKER ROOM: Available. Please prepare for golf in the locker room.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE: Available. Cash and Credit accepted. A meal ticket will be provided to competitors at the completion of play.
RESPONSIBILITY: All Competitors are to adhere to these regulations. For further information this policy is listed on Page 1 of the Illinois PGA Section Tournament Rules & Regulations, Conduct, Eligibility and Policies which can be viewed at www.ipga.com.
DRESS CODE: Contestants may not wear blue jeans and may not wear collarless t-shirt or tank tops. Men will observe the dress code of the PGA TOUR, Women will observe the dress code of the LPGA TOUR. Amateurs may wear Bermuda length shorts.
